Lyndell Pond

With more than 20 years’ experience in live entertainment and major event marketing, both in Australia and overseas, Lyndell is an accomplished marketing specialist with impressive leadership skills and a formidable international network.  Lyndell prides herself on leading strong and effective teams.

Currently leading the Event Acquisition team for Visit Victoria, Lyndell is responsible for driving the major event calendar for the State.  Her remit spans significant sporting events, major event musicals and culture and a broad range of festivals.  Key events Lyndell has helped secure or retain include Groundhog Day The Musical and the Australian Open (tennis).

Previously, Lyndell has worked with, and for, some of the world’s best-known musical theatre producers, most notably the impresario Cameron Mackintosh where she was Marketing Manager for four years. Lyndell worked on long-running West End shows, such as Les Misérables, as well as the UK and European tours of Miss Saigon and My Fair Lady.

Returning to Australia, she worked with leading producers, on the biggest entertainment brands to come to Australia including Billy Elliot, Mary Poppins, Wicked, Jersey Boys, Come From Away and The Book of Morman. Lyndell has also applied her skills across a broad range of live performance genres and landmark events, including major festivals and iconic cultural institutions.

Having successfully run her own agency specialising in tourism marketing services, Lyndell joined forces with ACMN, Australia’s leading arts and entertainment agency.  Lyndell spent eight years in the role of Managing Director and in that time she drove 30% growth of the business, with a key focus on developing the digital capabilities of the agency.  Lyndell was instrumental in navigating the business and broader industry through the impact of Covid on the entertainment industry.

Holding a Bachelor of Science, her analytical skills in a data driven world are second to none. She is one of the most methodical, collaborative and astute strategist in the major event industry, with an incredible work ethic, drive, and a calm, con-do approach.

Lyndell is a staunch supporter of the arts, having overseen ACMN’s work on the Actors Benevolent Fund, Sydney Theatre Awards and the Rob Guest Endowment.

Lyndell is a loving Mum, loves to travel with her family and is committed to staying fit and well.
