Strategies to support wellness in entertainment

At the 2018 AAWE wellness forums, participants were asked to identify existing industry wellness initiatives, and if there were gaps in services, to recommend what's needed and prioritise need.  Preliminary findings from the forums has identified three key priorities: Education, Risk Management and Support. The AAWE Advisory Committee, at its recent meeting, discussed strategies our industry could implement to address these priority areas.

Parliamentary Inquiry Report into Sustainability of Australian Film & Television Industry:

The final report of the Parliamentary Inquiry into the Sustainability of the Australian film and television industry was released in Canberra today. Entertainment Assist made a submission to the Inquiry and appeared as witnesses at a public hearing in September 2017. We are thrilled to announce that the report concludes: β€œThe mental health statistics provided to the committee for the entertainment industry are concerning and should be investigated further.”
